Thou shall....

Thou shalt not worry,
for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.

Thou shalt not be fearful,
for most of the things we fear never come to pass.

Thou shalt not cross bridges before you get to them,
for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.

Thou shalt face each problem as it comes,
you can handle only one at a time anyway.

Thou shalt not take problems to bed with you
for they make very poor bedfellows.

Thou shalt not borrow other people's problems,
they can take better care of them than you can.

Thou shalt not try to relive yesterday
for good or ill, it is gone
concentrate on what is happening in your life today.

Thou shalt count thy blessings,
never overlooking the small ones
for a lot of small blessings add up to a big one.

Thou shalt be a good listener,
for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own,
it's very hard to learn something new when you're talking.

Thou shalt not become bogged down by frustration,
for ninety percent of it is rooted in self-pity
and it will only interfere with positive action.

The light of your soul.....

One blindfolds his Self and creates the darkness ............ Then begins the game where he seeks light that is within his Self everywhere outside of his spirit........ In the chaos, he stumbles and falls..... He experiences pain and blames it on the darkness...... He cries ........ he shouts in fury for someone to come and show him the light........ He learns to find his way in the dark.......... but never attempts to learn his own reality.............

 

He attaches himself to worldly pleasures and makes its glamour his day.......... And then, when his toy loses its shine, he laments the nights of fear that fill his mind.......... Little does he realize that the light of peace that he so desperately seeks is the nature of his own spirit....... 

 

It is when he tosses the toy in disgust and hears from within the Divine Song that he begins to gather the conviction to remove the blindfold upon his eye.......... As he opens his eye, he sees the light of peace and asks, "Where have you been for I have searched for you in all the worlds." And from the light he hears the words that make still in silence...... "You have for all this time searched for your Self...........f or I am the light of your soul."

Peace is the nature of the spirit........... love is its expression........ truth is its way........... and goodness is its only world............ The light of each and every soul shines with its glory.......... The moment the Self reveals it Self to the Self the game comes to an end......... What remains is then the light........... the light of the Soul............

God or the devil, good and bad, are denizens of one's own heart. Where God is, there the devil cannot be. It is like the game of "musical chairs", only one person can occupy one chair. Seat God forever in the heart, after ridding it of other occupants. Let this inert body be activated by Divine Consciousness.

I can learn so much about myself when I truly listen to myself - to my own thoughts and my conversations with others.

Yet, there is a deeper level of listening that brings out an even greater understanding.  In silence, I listen to the indwelling spirit of God.  The message I listen to is one of grace : God's assurance that I am loved unconditionally.

And the wonder of grace is this : The more I listen to its message of love and acceptance, the more I want to be loving and accepting of myself and others.  Grace - God's love in action - builds me up and directs me in living a life that blesses me and others.

Thank You, God, for Your message of unconditional love.

The past is long gone from here there is no way back how could there be the present is over too quickly for feeble desires to have any effect except to hide peace the future races ahead forever out of reach of dreamy wishes and useless plans and yet when I rest in the endless now every need is satisfied in ways never imagined

Your heart must become a sea of love.. your mind must become a ricer of detachment... from a divine source....

What is the objective of 'studying'? 
You must study to become steady. 
When you have a steady mind, you can prosper. 
Your mind should not move like the pendulum of a clock. 

See to it that the Divine Love in your heart is steady. 
The goal of education should not be to just acquire 
theoretical knowledge but to practically apply it in your life. 
Your education should be for life and not for a mere living. 

Birds and animals lead life without 'studying', 
but your education must result in you developing 
a strong and good character. In this life, 
the only high aspiration you must have is for God. 

Many people collect a lot of information 
from newspapers and other sources, 
trying to find out what happened in Germany, USA, etc. 
These are good to know, but not very important. 

The aim of education should be to 
concentrate your mind onto a higher ideal 
and not merely to become like a library 
which is a conglomeration of all kinds of facts.

Love rises over anger... stalks over greed... crushes away jealousy... stamples over pride.. succeeds over hatred.. erases restlessness....

I consider you a successful gardener,
Even if one seed germinates to become a plant.
I do not look for quantity.
I look for your quality of devotion.
When one seed germinates into a plant,
You know that this plant one day
Will also become a big tree.
The tree will give a lot more seeds.


And one day, you will be given a chance
To germinate these seeds once again.
Do not be in a rush
To sow different kinds of seeds
Together, in one season.
Nurture one plant at a given time.
Give it all your love and care.


And to your surprise,
One day you will find,
A beautiful garden has emerged.
And each plant in it is healthy and strong.
Each plant has spread its roots,
And established it's domain.
The seed is devotion.
The roots are your faith.
And the healthy plant is the awakened soul.


Conquer all your enemies,
With one weapon I have endowed you with,
Love ! Love ! Love !
Love rises above anger,
Love stalks over greed.
Love crushes away jealousy.
Love stamples over pride.
Love succeeds over hatred.
Love erases restlessness.


It is a sure winner over all other weapons.
Just have faith in My love for you,
And stay patient and await My arrival,
To pour all My divine love on you.
Fill yourself with it, emanate it to others.
Give up being a demon,
Give up being an animal.
Start with being human,
End up being divine.

You have to realize that you are not your physical body, which is both perishable and impermanent. You have to look at this objective world with the eye of wisdom, not with the physical eye. The animals, the insects, the birds and the beasts are looking at this world with their physical eyes. If you too look at this objective world with mere physical eyes, what difference is there between you and those beings? You will then simply remain an animal, a bird, a beast or an insect. You will not be able to realize your true nature, which is beyond the physical world. You have to comprehend the transcendental reality, which is beyond the body and the mind. This is possible only with the help of the eye of wisdom. The body is like a water bubble. It will disappear one day or the other. You are not the body that has birth, growth, decay and, ultimately, death. I am divine..

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

True and Selfless Love
manifests as sacrifice. 
Such love knows no hatred. 
It envelops the entire universe, 
and is capable of drawing near
even those who are seemingly far away. 

In the phenomenal world, 
you come across many shades 
and derivatives of this primordial love. 
You love your father, mother, brother,
sister, spouse, friends and others.

In all such cases, there is always 
a tinge of selfishness somewhere or the other. 
Divine love, on the other hand, is totally free 
of even the slightest trace of selfishness. 

You must surrender to such love, 
become completely submerged by it, 
and experience the bliss it confers. 
True and Selfless Love manifests itself as sacrifice. 

For acquiring Divine love, 
the quality of forbearance and patience
is a vital necessity. Every individual must cultivate this noble quality. 

Sow the seed of love in your hearts...

You should broaden your heart
that it may be filled with all-embracing love. 
Only then can the sense of spiritual oneness 
of all mankind be experienced. 

Out of that sense of unity 
will be born the love of God. 
This love will generate in the heart 
pure bliss that is boundless,
indescribable and everlasting.

For all forms of bliss,
love is the source. 
A heart without love is like a barren land.
Foster love in your hearts and redeem your lives. 
Whatever your scholarship or wealth, 
they are valueless without love. 

Sow the seed of love in your hearts 
and it will grow in due course into a big tree.
God is one. Do not entertain any differences 
of religion, creed or caste. 
Carry the message of unity to every home. 

Embodiments of love! 
Regard Love as your life-breath 
and as the sole purpose of your existence.

Sometimes one might feel as such.... but think twice..refer to our inner wisdom where divinity dwells...

The world seems to be made 
for the corrupt and those with 
a bent of mind to cheat and swindle others. 

On the face of it, 
one feels that those that 
who are good and sincere 
are bound to suffer. 

And that is reinforced again 
and again in the face of several crises
 that humanity faces today - 
the financial meltdowns, immoral behaviour, 
environmental degradation, poverty etc. 

Politicians may not be everywhere 
but people with a great capacity and 
appetite for dirty politics seem to abound like cockroaches! 

In such an environment being
a good person seems synonymous
with being a fool and a victim.

 It makes one wonder as to how
 the world will ever change if
 the good seem to be punished and the bad rewarded.

However, our Lord Jesus preaches to differ. 

He says that truth always triumphs and goodness always prevails.

And so, whenever I am plagued with this doubt about the importance of being good, I recollect His various discourses on goodness. And when there are things that I am unable to explain to myself, I remind myself of the all-encompassing love. But I never yield to the temptation of concluding that goodness is no good because somewhere deep within, I agree completely with HIM..

It is in this light that an example I witnessed became an inspirational force in being good. And that came in the form of a 1978 British war film, Force 10 from Navarone.

Never treat God's words lightly...

There is no dearth of good books, 
telling you how to live happily 
and be free from grief, 
and many thousand copies 
of them are being purchased. 

Yet there is nothing 
to indicate that the content 
in the books have been read and assimilated. 

The habits, conduct, and character 
of the readers of these books have
not undergone any change for good.

Egoism and greed are still rampant; 
hatred has not abated and envy eats 
into the vitals of the society. 

Henceforth, do not treat 
God's words lightly. 
Decide to implement in your life, 
at least one advice for your spiritual growth. 

Every one of you must examine 
your mental make-up and see whether 
you have used your discrimination and scientific temper
to clothe yourself with detachment, 
so that you do not suffer from 
the attachment to the worldly objects. 

Service is the highest penance and serving any living being is to serve HIM.....

Service is the highest penance 
and serving any living being is to serve Him. 
Many do acts of service as 'social service', not as a spiritual act. 

Just as the river attains identity with the sea. 

You too should keep God
ever in your mind as the pace-setter
for every task you do. 
Serve anyone in need with a full heart 
and experience the resultant joy. 

It may be small and even unnoticed by others,
 but must be done to please the God within you. 
Every act of genuine Service attracts the Grace of God.

The divine promise from divine source... Like our most precious mum, our Lord always repeat to make sure all of us listen... well, because of LOVE..

There is nothing to plan

Nothing to worry

There is nothing to ask

There is no need to hurry...

A little voice in the heart

Shall speak to you of faith

The truth in your soul

Shall take you safely across your fate...

There is no one beside you

Other than Me

I alone am the only friend

Know that and be free...

Why the tear

Why the pain

Why the doubt

Why the blame

Stand... Believe and Create the principle

Cherish... Hold and Sustain being simple...

Why the journey to seek My grace

Just touch your heart with the thought of love

And you shall feel My embrace

I am always there 

Where you shall remember Me

I am there in a moment

Doing what is best

Doing until the end

Doing the rest...

Ask not why...

When...

And where...

I know

And that is what matters most

Try not to see

What I see

Close your eyes

And believe

That you are safe.

Then you shall see My grace

All else shall come to pass

And while the world wonders

Of your faith

You shall smile

And share the love

That you have received

From Me

By just believing...

Believe I say...

Believe, for faith is the food of your soul

Believe and take the step 

Knowing that I am 

In front

Behind

And by your side.

Believe in nothing

That you see, hear, feel, and speak

In My presence

And the fear

That has trapped you 

Shall turn to dust.

The heart of love

Shall behold My word

And My word shall carry

What is education?

What is education? It is of two types: The first type is collection of facts and knowledge about the external world, and sharing them with students. The second type is educare. Educare involves the deep understanding of the knowledge that springs from within, and imparting it to students. 

But today's education gives knowledge only about the external world. Only culture or refinement can develop good personality and not this type of education. So only if education is blended with culture, it will shine forth as true education. What is culture?

 It is the cultivation of discrimination between good and evil, sin and merit, and truth and untruth that we experience in our daily life. It is also removal of one's evil thoughts, feelings and qualities, and cultivation of good thoughts, feelings and qualities. Not only this, culture makes one broad-minded.

May you all develop Divine Love and stand out as the harbingers of a new age, free from selfishness, greed, hatred and violence. Let each of you be light unto yourself and thereby be a light unto others. There should be no differences or quarrel amongst devotees. When you come together and work on a common cause, there should be no scramble for power or position. What matters is the purity, intensity and sincerity of the devotion and the spirit of selfless sacrifice in which each devotee renders service to the needy and the suffering. God is always with you, in you and around you. When all differences are eradicated and devotees unite and conduct themselves with selfless devotion, each one of you will realize that God and you are one. Be blessed that all of you may attain that bliss.
