God or the devil, good and bad, are denizens of one's own heart. Where God is, there the devil cannot be. It is like the game of "musical chairs", only one person can occupy one chair. Seat God forever in the heart, after ridding it of other occupants. Let this inert body be activated by Divine Consciousness.
